(What is with me and these proverbs?)

M.G Road is the queen of Kochi roads. If you are looking for major shopping joints then this is the place you gotta be in Kochi.

Very much popular for their shopping experiences they house a small Café Coffee Day opposite Shenoy’s theatre (which by the way is one of the few cinema halls to screen English and Hindi movies). Interested in some music? Planet M to the rescue! Bought some CD’s myself. You cannot miss the number of international brands along MG Road like Arrow, Lee, Louis Philippe and famous Indian brands like Zodiac and Park Avenue. I do regret not buying any of those good salwars I spotted in the shops along the road.

Any place in Kerala would be incomplete without their Alukkas, Josco, Bhima and Allaphat. Huge buildings are solely dedicated to jewellery on MG Road. Following them are Seematti, Jayalakshmi and Parthas for the complete family. Shoes you ask? Bata and Woodlands are fine in my opinion. You can get some pretty neat handicrafts near Jos Junction and Khadi Bhavan.

I wanted to check out a building with the words FOOD COURT written in bold letters but time wasn’t patient with me.

So how do we get to the commercial centre? My first answer would obviously be to sit in an autorickshaw and let the driver do his job. But it twigs off Banjeri Road, FYI.
